GREAT ! This macro is realy great. Sharpness and DOF are perfect, we can see well the Argiope and the prey on the special zigzag web over the soft background.

Title is a little inacurate as prey was already catched, wrapped up and then brought to the center of the web. The actual action is now only eating.

Wonderful job. I shot this same spider last week and did not get the great results like you did. That's the difference between a "newbie" like me and you. The spider, the web and the pray are all clear, sharp and detailed. Again...nice job.

great capture, with excellent details and beautiful colors. You've captured a beautiful moment. How many times have I stood infront of a spider web waiting on some action. The OOF BG is beautiful and even brings out the web perfectly.

Scott,
Just about the time I think you have posted your best stuff,(technically) you top it. Simply incredible detail here. You really used the available light to your advantage here. It was a pretty gloomy day and for you to walk away from this spider with thig dood of a shot amazes me. The OOF BG is superb and it really highlights the web. Super post, the "fang" comments almost gave me the "heebie-jeebies"! But it's nature and I have come to accept it! :)
