Sunflower field in the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area. The beetle seemed to reflect the habitat with its yellow coat.
McKee-Beshers WMA is a 2,000-acre tract in a mixture of woodlands, fields, wooded bottomland and managed wetland impoundments (green-tree reservoirs).
Approximately 200 acres of field are managed under an agricultural lease for crop production. The sunflower fields are are planted primarily to attract doves. |

Hi Robin,
Great macro-shot, very sharp and nice details of the center part of this sunflower. Bug is a nice extra bonus, added to this nicely composed asymmetric image. Good dark simple frame.

Hello Robin
Nicely done.I like the way you have filled the shot with the sunflower. It really shows the relative size of the beetle.Good DOF and nice colours.Beautiful framing and well presented.TFS

Hej Robin!
Bardzo ladnie wypatrzone. Slonecznik i chrzaszczyk super ostre. Mile sloneczne kolory.
Gratuluje i pozdrawiam - Roma
It is a very lovely composition, and I like very much the moody atmosphere you have managed. Colours are gently saturated, and light describes perfectly and softly every shape. Thanks and regards.
