As I mentioned in my previous note. I didn't get that many great photos at Waterton Lakes NP as I was hoping for. So back to Glacier.

This is another view at Lake Josephine. This time from the opposite site of my previous upload of Lake Josephine, showing the grandeur fo the mountains surrounding the glacier lake.

I shot this photo in RAW. I adjusted white balance and exposure to -1EV. This time of day and at this altitude the sunlight is really harsh and even a fully closed CP will not overcome any overexposure. I even considered to merge to exposures, but I actually liked this version as it is. I used several adjustment layers to get more contrast, control the colors and shades. I needed to rotate the photo 1 degree to the right. Croped, framed, rezise and USM

Fantastic landscape. I particularly like the angle and the depth of this shot with the dark spruces in the foreground on the left. Beautiful colours.

Niek,

There is nothing like a Blue Alpine lake. This obviously is a Glaciated valley. I must plan a trip.

Great work, or play, with your camera.

Hi Niek,
Just amazingly beautiful scenery. Perfect composition and framing here. Looks like your PP work was excellent. A very broad exposure range to get all the colors and detail right, but you did it well.
Excellent!

Good morning Niek,
What a stunning view.
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours and lighting. Exposure looks tricky on the snow, but I think you have got the balance just right for the whole image.
The POV is good.
Well composed and well framed.

Hello Niek!
USA is really a beautiful country, with so many nice and different views. This shot from Montana is wonderful. TFS!
Cheers!
Zeca

Looks familiar! We just hiked up even with Grinnel glacier (visible here at the top) ...but from the other side. As it turned out we chose to do the wrong hike first then snow closed the upper trails. Those who chose to hike up this side were treated to lots of bighorn sheep butting heads right on the trail! They got tons of full frame photos with their little card deck sized cameras! NO FAIR! We'll be there next fall.

This is a nice rich image capturing the beauty of that park. Thanks for sharing it.

Hoi Niek,

Hello Niek,
An unusual composition from Glacier National Park. People generally try to squeeze the whole lake in the frame. Exposure is excellent and colors are fine given the circumstances you describe. Well done.
Best wishes,
Hakan
