[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As suspected, this Presidentials series does not create a lot of critiques. I know, it is not the best of pictures! This was a very hazy day. If someone as some tips for taking pictures with haze, fell free to tell me.

This picture, the 3rd and last of the series, was taken not very far from the one before on Huntington Ravine Trail. I stoped near this cairn with the view of 'The Alpine Garden', a flat area south of the summit of Mt Washington. Very nice place for hikes. You can notice in the distance a hiking trail.

Hi Patrick,
This is a great photo. I think know why the others were not that interesting to view. This one has a good DOF and people can view into the picture. The others had less DOF. The stones in the FG create this depth. I like the FG interst in this photo and the silhoutte mountains in the back. Great colors and good use of the available light.

Niek

P.S. you will capture less haze with a UV/Haze filter. It is actually the filter many photographers use as their standard filter on each lens. It is cheap and will protect you lens as well.

i get the same problems..sometimes fiddling around with gamma and saturation helps to clarify..i did this on yours and added a frame to pull in the sides..
cheers

Hello Patrick,
Always interesting to see images from above the tree line!
At least the haze causes a fine feeling of depth with the fading mountains, as contrasted to the strong rocky foreground interest...
A well composed image!
