Raven at Bryce Canyon

Common Raven Corvus corax
Thanks to C J (CJ Vincent) for the proper ID
The mistake of the identification came from the fact that in french we often mix up the name (crow - corneille) vs (raven - corbeau).
I took this picture at Bryce Canyon. |

Hi,
Nice shot!
Crowes aren't native to that particular area. That's a Common Raven Corvus corax. The large beak and throat feathers, along with the wedge-shaped tail are sure connotations of a Common Raven .
Nice color!
bonjour stephan
pour un cliché pris en 800iso je le trouve particulierement bon, avec de bons details et un bonne netteté mais surtout sans bruit.
bravo.

Lovely details in the feathers, great POV and a lovely BG.
there is something sinister about the way these birds look sometimes, this back view especially. I love the contrasting colours and it all makes a good composition.
Hi Stephan,
I like the over the sholder composition. Great colors and details. I like the hard contrast is the fence and feathers.
