| Another view of one of my favorites, the Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Nyctanassa violacea. This is an immature bird. Hanging out over a sea wall doesn't give the best angle, but they do a lot of hunting in the shallows next to the wall. I cropped and cloned out some garbage, there was a 1 liter water bottle right next to the tail, and part of a styrofoam cooler that didn't help the image. |
