I'm a Viceroy, Not a Monarch
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Most people - like me just before I wrote this note - confuse this beautiful Viceroy butterfly with the ever so popular Monarch. However, upon research for this note, I found out that the Viceroy has that black line across the bottom wings, which the Monarch doesn't have. Anyway, I took this picture at the Brazos Bend State Park in Needville, Texas.
Model - Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XT
Exposure Time - 1/125 seconds

Hello Edgar
A nice capture of this viceroy. You can also see that the viceroy has one row of white dots on the forewing (middle) where as the monarch has two.Good POV and DOF.The colours are well saturated.I like the pose.TFS
