My husband and I went to the Washington Coast this weekend. There was a grassy area that was quite large that you had to walk through to get to the beach. I saw several deer this morning from the balcony so walked through the grassy woods towards where the deer were. There were two young deer like this one, a mother, and a one point buck all eating together. I followed them for about 45 minutes and they let me get fairly close to them.

Hi Julie

This is delightful..... what a lovely close portrait! Very nice camer work. TFS.

Hi Julie,
This is a lovely portrait.
It does look a little on the blue side.
I don't know if you saw my topic in the general forum about UV light and correcting blue cast caused when shooting towards a lght source etc.
I outlined a very simple way of dealing with it there.
Hope you don't mind,I've done a wee workshop.

Hi Julie,
Nicely capturing this young mule deer. Great DoF, sharp and neat BG. Nice soft colors. Superb shot.

Hi Julie, lovely deer with great eyes, beautiful photo with great details, very well done, ciao Silvio

What a great close-up! This deer shows just why I like them so much, they're such beautiful animals. You can even see all the little chin hairs, great clarity and sharpness, you've captured the expression very well. I don't know how I missed this one!
