[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For some reason i never thought of tigers being able to survive in snow. However as this shot shows they can adapt to snow. This was taken at Brookfield Zoo when the temperature was below freezing. By the way if you don't mind the cold winter is a great time to visit Brookfield Zoo. There were about 5 cars worth of people at the zoo so you could always get close to the animals and spend as long as you wanted looking at them without worrying about being unfair to others.

i've got another shot from the same session here

Very powerful image! Excellent composition and nice to see this beast in a different environment!
Shame the Tigers plight in it's natural environment isn't so great though eh?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Tom,
Good image. Great animal you captured here.
I always try to visit the zoo when I expect not a lot of visitors.
Then you can do your thing.
Well done..

Hi Tom,
A really impressive capture. The 500mm really allowed you to get really close to the tiger. The colors and sharpness are perfect. Just a pitty that the BG is rahter noisy.

Niek

What a beautiful tiger, he looks so close and I feel I could touch him. We have Sumatran tigers in our NZ zoo, but this doesn't look like one. Do you now where he is from? His fur looks so good and I congratulate you on this image. TFS

Awesome shot! I really like the colours, and the tiger of course :)

Wow.. this one is so beautiful. The colors are soo nice too! I love this pose and composition. How close were you!? The snowy surroundings make this one seem like it's in the wild and not in the zoo. Well photographed for a natural outcome.
Well done
Steph
