Fine capture of a beautiful hairstreak new to me.
Easy to say afterwards, but this shot would have been perfect if you had a smaller aperture and sacrificed the speed.
Nevertheless, If I had taken this shot I would have been very pleased.

outline and colours and thus the beauty of this small butterfly are well elaborated. The focus plane is just on the wing surface. The dopth of field could be a little higher so that structural details of legs and antennae would become clearer.

Another superb capture from you!
This is such a beautiful butterfly presented here in an amazing composition.
The contrast between the colors of the butterfly and the BG on one side and the ones of the flower on the other is what i have to say i like the most. Great work here!
Also the POV and DOF are impecable, the details are very clear and sharp and the lighting is very well managed.
Excellent framing and composition...as i mentioned already :)

Another success Cecilia with a quality macro.

I like it a lot: composition, sharpness, color, POV, DOF (although for the bottom of the scene, I believe that it could have been deeper), focus, lighting, background, framing.

I like it: frame (too thick), notes.

I don't like it: nothing to grumble.

Hello Cecilia,
fabulous capture of "wing rotating" at a very extended stage, a behaviour hair streaks seem to show off to enhance the appearance of false head wing endings with tails looking like legs or antennae in combination with eye spots.
Superbly well balanced subtle colours, perfect details, and very a strict, aethetical composition. The wonderful falloff in sharpness on the flowers to the foreground completes the result of great beauty and harmony.

Here is another great capture from you! It is very well presented in the same frame that I found so elegant. And again you used the left third of the picture to compose the shot. I like this very much! The plain neutral background and the empty space above the butterfly add to the composition lots of appeal.
There are two subtle things I found on this picture:
* The first one is the way you used the wide aperture to create a shallow DOF. It not only gave you this superb background, but also created this nice effect in the flowers and conveyed depth to the picture.
* The second one is the way the orange-brownish color balanced the whole picture. I love to find the same color tones in both the butterfly and the flowers. It is the same thing painters do in order to blend all the elements into one work of art.
Overall, an excellent picture with a great presentation and very well documented! Thanks!
