Flight to freedom

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
My first post in TN.
This was taken on the side of Hwy 99 on a sunny yet freezing morning. I was exploring the possibilities of taking pictures of some wild geese who were feeding on the harvested and flooded fields. But before I got a chance to get any closer they took flight and it was a sight! I have never seen such a big flock of migratory birds.
Here you can also see a mountain range, possibly worlds smallest mountain range, known as Butte Mountain. |

So very many, all traveling together! Kinda a strange thought, that they can meet others and do that every year. how do they learn? Does man have embedded memory also?
