Bryce Canyon National Park is a geological marvel. The combination of spires, hoodoos, grottos, arches and walls are unequaled on earth. All this maze-like architecture has been built by the deposition, uplift, and erosion processes that started 12 million years ago. The finishing touch, however, was endowed by the cutting of the limestone by Paria River and its tributaries, which I hope to write more about in the future.

This is an early morning shot from the Bryce Point overlook. The telephoto lens compressed the image into a zig-zagging pattern of hoodoo formations. You can see a little morning fog on top.

Hello Hakan,
Beautiful place and capture. It looks like our Capadokia.Well caught, framed and composed.I liked warm lighting a lot.
TFS..:-)

What a spectacular Park Hakan
I love the warm hues of gold, yellow and brown. The dark shadows that are cast between the columns of rock create a nice contrast. I like all the patterns and rows of rock. Nicely framed.

nice composition with the layers of rock. was this a sunset shot? if not there does seem to be a color cast.

Hi Hakan
C'est une très bonne prise de vue de cet endroit. Les rochers multicolores sont jolis et ces montées en zig zag comme tu le dis montre bien l'immensité de cet endroit..

Félicitations et merci pour l'envoie....JP

I have been to Bryce many times and seen it in many conditions - from heavy snow to baking heat - however the light here is stunning - and not one of the regular shots. Well done

James

Tremendous shot Hakan.

Just researching Utah as I'm hoping to go later this year.

I love the colours and composition of this.

Hello Hakan

I can't even begin to imagine the power and time it took to create this formation.A wonderful POV to include such an expanse. The colours and lighting are well done.TFS

Bonjour,
Texture extraordinaire et bonne luminosité.
Bonne journée.

Looks like a fortified old town in Rajasthan, India, Hakan.
Have you ever been there? If you haven't, then you must.
What you show in this picture is an amazing creation of nature, indeed.
Great image, though I can realize the extent to which the limitations of size have truncated the real grandeur of this grand work of nature on the earth.
Best regards,
Ram
