Another view of Mount Washington, this time from North Conway. I was near a bridge that crosses the Saco river on River road. From this POV you can obviously see why these mountains are called 'The White Mountains'. Even in summer, the bare summits contrast will the green forest of the lower elevations.

I used a grad filter to balance out the exposure, especially when snow or bright sky is involved. In FG, I took care to and nice scrubs and you can see part of the Saco River on the right.

PP (ACDSee Pro):
- adjusted shadow/highlights
- converted from RAW to JPEG
- slight correction a tilt
- resized for posting

hi patrick,
nice shot,
the colour tones are lovely,
the falling light on the mountains looks nice,
tfs & regards
pankaj

It doesn't look like you have had much snow there either. I like the colors here. It does feel like the ND grad may have been a little too dark. The sky looks dull in comparison to the rest of the image. I would have liked the point of view to be changed slightly so that the bright, round bush wasn't so centered.

Salut Patrick

What a lovely scenary!
I like how everything looks so calm and pacefull...a truely relazing view :)
The colors here are terrific and the usage of the ND grad did great to darken that impressive mountain and to make a bliss of the sky :)
Also the details are splendid thanks to the outstanding DOF, the POV is excellent and the composition is a beauty!

Bravo, my friend for this top work and TFS

Hello Patrick,
A beautiful landscape!
The lighting is lovely and the colours of winter contrast so well with the wonderful blue sky...
Well composed presentation with fine details!
Greetings,

Hi Patrick,
The clarity in this photo is really amazing. To see such good details al the way to the top is really great. The use of the filter helped to balance the exposure very good. Th sky looks actually perfect to me, in comparison with the rest of the scenery. Evelynn does have a point with the centered position of the bright bush.

Niek

Hi Patrick,

the sense of depth in this shot is amazing, and it has such a wild feel to it, but a suprising lack of snow though. I thought you guys would be up to you waists in it! Good work with the filters, this has a nice balanced feel to it, with some great colours in the foreground. I guess the bush could be a little off centre, but i don't find it detracts from the image at all.

Thanks for sharing,

Paul

Hello Patrick,
Oh thanks for sharing this view, that you can only see in New England. You've done a great shot in capturing just how powerful these white mountains appear. Well done. TFS
