Hi Donna,
This is a great shot: golf courses can be useful to the nature photographer!
The Great Blue Heron has caught the light spot on and the refection of the trees on the water give this shot and added quality.
I also like the placing of the heron in the top corner.

This is beautiful shot.I like your composition with main subjekt in top left.It looks in a meadow is hoarfrost,maybe sand,very interesting foreground.Amazing colours and fine details.Splendid reflection trees in water.This bird you captured in very nice position.

I really love the pose you managed to catch this beautiful heron in and also the way you composed the shot - very original and very fitting.
The sharpness is great and the and colors and tones everywhere are charming!

more than just the heron..your composition is full of photographic techniques..the diagonal and the well placed bird..and the effect of making us look at the lake for that fish..:)
