I took this photo while on my hike near Herman Creek yesterday. This forest area usually gets so much rain there is moss and lichens and ferns everywhere. So far this year we've not gotten too much rainfall, or snow and they're already talking drought and wildfires.
I love the way the mosses and lichen look when you stoop down and really look. I thought this one looked much like a small forrest in itself.
I've never tried taking close-ups before and wasn't sure even how. I think I need a bit more practice. |

This POV, Position of view, shows what you were shooting for. It is well presented. Excelent composition.
Another way, POV, is to get right down and dirty and right in on the subject.

Interesting photo, I to find these small macro landscape interesting I have never had much luck in photographing them ether. Did you over sharpen your image? as it does not look right!
Nice composition, very nice colours and good POV.
Well done.
