Hi Donna, this is a great composition with the bird walking beside and reflected in the water. The grass helps make this shot, but it may also have stolen some of your focus. The bird to me seems a little soft. still a great shot.

Isn't that a stroke of great luck that while you are enjoying your lunch with the family in a restaurant, a fine pair of Snowy Egrets makes its appearance within your visual range outside :-)?
You did well to grab your camera and go for this shot. It is lovely!
The blue of the pond with the reflection of the bird on it makes a fantastic sight which you have captured very well.
