The brown pelican is also fairly common bird to observe on the ocean shoreline. This one was hoping for scraps from the local fishermen that were fileting their catch.
I framed this picture to put emphasis on the psychadelic eye and the head colouration. The light brown to yellow feathers on his head indicate it is a young adult. As he will age, those feathers will slowly turn white.

Sans doute relativement faciles à observer sur le bord de mer, mais je n'en avait encore jamais vus... jusqu'à maintenant.

Its a nice shot, Genevieve. The overall effect quite pleasing. May I advise that to improve the composition I would have liked to see the whole beak. Why did you use the polarizer in this instance? I am new to these filters and would like to find out. Very nice post.

Hi Gen, you are very close to this fellow, and you show him off so well. I like his blue eyes as I can just see the right one sticking out on the other side of his head. I like the colours and closeness,
