Now this is an "OLD" photo! I took this photo of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA when I was 13 years old, with an old 110 instamatic camera. I thought I'd try and resurrect it for TN. This was my first view of the canyon and I was awestruck to say the least. Seeing photos of this beautiful place just can't capture the true grandure. I haven't been back since either, someday hopefully I can go back and share this wonderful experience with my kids.

PP: scanned from photo, rotated, cropped, cloned damaged areas, levels, increased contrast, resized, Neat Image, sharpened. I'll post the original so you can see what I started with.

About the Grand Canyon:
(From the National Park Services Website)
"The Grand Canyon is more than a great chasm carved over millennia through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau. It is more than an awe-inspiring view. It is more than a pleasuring ground for those who explore the roads, hike the trails, or float the currents of the turbulent Colorado River.
This canyon is a gift that transcends what we experience. Its beauty and size humble us. Its timelessness provokes a comparison to our short existence. In its vast spaces we may find solace from our hectic lives. The Grand Canyon we visit today is a gift from past generations."

Gotta run, critique later

Great landscape shot Lori. Great perspective & the inclusion of the tree left helps to accent & give the viewers eye a little extra. Well done!

Cannon's Canyon? Great shot Lori, I know it is huge but to me it's hard to get a good sense of scale, it looks immense. Nice colours and a very good view. Well done.

This photo reminds me that I simply MUST visit the Grand Canton before I die. That it inspires me should also express that I really enjoy this photo.

Great capture, especially from a 110! I just posted one of the Grand Canyon today. It is truly awe inspiring and beyond description. I really like this POV, nicely composed, especially for a 13 year old!
