Seahorses are a genus (Hippocampus) of fish belonging to the family Syngnathidae, which also includes pipefish and leafy sea dragons. The seahorses are found in tropical and subtropical coastal and reef waters all over Pacific, Atlantic and Indian oceans.
Seahorses range in size from 16 mm (the recently discovered Hippocampus denise) to 350 mm. Seahorses and pipefishes are notable for being the only species in which males become "pregnant".
Seahorses are used in traditional Chinese Medicine, particularly for Asthma.
The quality and resolution is poor since it is a stillshot from my camcorder during video movie mode. But I like the colors and pose of the seahorse and wanted to share.Added contrast +10 and color saturation +15.Cropped,resized and framed

Denizatı, yılan iğnesinin de dahil olduğu Syngnathidae familyasından Hippocampus cinsine ait olan balıklardır. Tüm dünyada ılıman ve tropikal sularda bulunurlar.
Denizatların boyutları 16 milimetre ile 35 santimetre arasında değişen türleri bulunur. Denizatı ve yılan iğnesi türleri erkek hamileliğinin görüldüğü tek türler olarak bilinmektedirler. Geleneksel Çin Tıbbında Astım hastalığınba karşı kullanılırlar.
Fotoğraf Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Birch Aquariumda çekildi. Video kaydı sırasında aldığım bir görüntü olduğundan çözünürlük ve fotoğraf kalitesi düşük. Ama renklerini ve denizatının pozunu beğendiğim için paylaşmak istedim. +10 kontrast,+15 renk doygunluğu ilave edip,yeniden boyutlandırdım ve çerçeveledim.
