Wow...you changed since we last met!:-) I love the presentation as a whole...and as far as the season itself and the notion that it is a lack of a brain elemental enzyme...I do not subscribe. We as a family have tried many of the alternatives, but we discovered that what we wanted most in this seasonal mood which you project well, was to be together and to be happy. When someone was ill that changed all things.. or when days drew out and family was separated...all bets were off... Winter and its predecessor are a strange phenomenon. You have captured a day well..and a mood...and know this...You will be okay! Be joyous....even if it takes posting the opposite...You are so good at wearing your heart on your sleeve:-)

This must be day-time picture during the snow storm, Donna. The choice of black and white medium is quite appropriate here. The image has turned into a surrealistic kind of work of art. The atmosphere is just great.

Hello Donna,
I like how the tree is silhouted against the lighter part of this wintery sky to make it look like it is haloed in this fine composition. B&W is quite suitable here.
We haven't had any snow storms, just dark grey cloud for weeks and this will continue into the new year. Looks like you will have a white Christmas and I wish you and your husband a Happy, if not Merry Christmas as you will not be celebrating it together.

Yes, I can see the lonliness in that picture, only the trees, the snow falling and lake Erie, it makes people to think. Also a snow storm can isolate people because the roads are blocked. There are a lot of feelings in that photo. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Donna!

Although I like the composition and the subject itself, I regret some technical defaults. There are some dust spots in the sky, and the artificial brightness around the trees doesn't improve the picture. This brightness destroys the otherwise beautiful picture. But you have the merit to try something new.
