I for one am glad these animals don't think as humans. If they understood the way they are treated as almost political footballs in this country..I would be very much afraid of this one. The expression is one of grim determination...Long lens or not, I have seen what they can do to a passenger car:-) All images such as this, 'specially when technically super, are as important as finding color tine pan when out looking for Placer gold! Very nice Eve...actually...better than very nice..

Hello Evelynn. Very good shot in such a good pose of this bear. The sharpness and detail is brilliant for 300mmFL and the depth is very well metered. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Evelynn,
nice dedication.
Exellent pose from the boar, she looks onto your direction, also a low pov.
Gert
Oh Evelynn, what a great young fellow this one looks. But what a hard life he's going to have to learn in a hurry - as you said they 'were in for a rude awakening.'
I've been on holiday and was stuck inside the apartment with a tropical storm roaring outside, and I watched a super TV program on these bears. So your photo was posted at the right time for me to see.
Thank you for sharing

Hi Evelynn, An excellent photo of this large-looking grizzly. Although only a cub, it sure looks powerful. Good clarity and colours as well as DOF. TFS. Murray.

Good grief, he looks quite adult to me. Hope I never encounter one in the wild. Great shot, capturing a quite intense look by the bear. Well done, Evelynn.

Hello Evelynn,
Wow, he's already a big boy with small eyes!!
I like his pose with the snow as a background. Great focus, nice light and colours in this fine composition.

Hi Evelynn,
Beautiful shot! It made me recall my meating with a grizzly in June. My hands were shaking so much that it took 1 minute to put my 300mm on the tripod. I really admire your bears photos, knowing the anxiety that this involves (for me).

Hello Evelynn,
If I were to take a shot of a bear I would like it like this one of a Grizzly. The technical aspects are great and the slightly wary pose and side lighting superb. The composition with the patches of snow and scrub is just right.
A great capture and thanks for sharing it,
Ivan

Hi Evelynn,
I'm amazed that you could get that close from those impressive animals! Was it taken from a car? Aren't they dangerous? I would love to see one of them someday... This is an impressive picture with interesting notes, good details and perspective. I'm glad to know that the little ones are healthy. Thanks,
Claudine
Update... OK, I have read your replies to Bob and Chris and it aswered my questions. You are courageous lady Evelynn...

I can't believe how close you are to him. It is a stunning scene with the relaxed and unconcerned body pose. The details in the fur and eyes are wonderful. Lovely setting as well. What a wonderful sight.
