Hi,

While on vacations in Mont-Tremblant National Park, I had the chance to observe an infinite numbers of Warblers that I had never seen before. This forest is filled with little birds that I don't see anywhere else. As we had 13 days of rain out of 15 (this is so much fun when you are camping...) I didn't have the chance to do as much photo as I would have wanted.

Warblers are fast moving and very tinny birds and are not easy to photograph. This is one of the few pictures I managed to do. I made some researches about this bird but it seems to me that it is a juvenile of some kind and I'm not sure which specie this is.

Hi Claudine.
Unfortunately I have not correct ID. Very pictorial shot despite the deep shadows. Moreover these shadows create a nice esthetic impression and strengthen sensation naturalness of the pictured scene. Wonderful back POV and magnification as well as the rich colour reproduction. BG created by leaves is so attractive too. My best wishes and TFS.
Alexei.

Hi Claudine,
It was so good the little bird was under the sun's rays, which produced all those fine details on its plumage, while for the background worked great the partial shadows that created that sense of depth.
Besides being a juvenile one, I can't help further with the proper ID.
Very good work and thanks to post it.
My best regards,
JM

Yellow-rumped warbler, female or in fall plummage. I think the pattern on the head rules out a magnolia. Very good picture -- good color, sharp, good composition without too much foliage in the way. Gary

Hi Claudine,

Can't help, but what a pretty bird. Good pose and compo, well done.

Jan-Hendrik

I quickly did a net search in this way as per Garys suggestion. Try it and your page will be full of these:-)

cut and paste both lines as one...very neat. Actually your photo comes up better than most others I have seen in this short search. Well seen Caludine..that rhymes.

Hello Claudine,
An excellent close and sharp portrait of this warbler. The POV is excellent to show the Yellow rump.
I think this is a female Cape May Warbler (Dendroica tigrina). The male is strikingly marked with yellow and black streaks but the female is much duller. Both sexes have a yellow rump.
TFS this delightful well composed image,
Ivan

hi claudine,
nice to see this beautiful bird shot from you, i liked the effect of the sunlight and the way the bir is looking at the lens, i am sorry as i dont have any idea about the species.
tfs & regards

bonjour Claudine

to the Birds of North America » et ton oiseau correspond

Hi Claudine,

I have never seen a close-up of a Warbler as great as this one! They are so flighty and hard to catch staying still. The face and plummage are magnificent. Beautiful colors and fantastic details - I love the white around the eye. So many of them are so similar I wouldn't guess which Warbler this was but I doubt it's a juvenile with those vibrant colors.

Hello Claudine,

Under these circumstances, "Chapeau" (-: Beautiful photo of this little bird. Very good compo. The working between light and dark is perfect. Good eyecontact. Colours are natural. Good work. Thanks for sharing, nice weekend and TFS BOB

Hi Claudine,

good capture of this beautiful bird.
It is'nt pleasant when you have rain while you have vacation and expessionally when you are camping, all the clothes wet, brrr.
But you show a beautiful picture that you have taken with dry weather.

Gert

Salut Claudine

Bravo
Albert

Ciao Claudine,

Hello Claudine, Great shot with superb focus and natural sorroundings. The colors are natural and good lighting. Excellent composition Ganesh

Good to hear from you through your critique on my recent picture, Claudine.
Thanks!
This is a very professional image of a Warbler from a perspective that gives perfect details and colours of the bird's plumage. The eye in particular is very well recorded.
Regards.

Beautiful image Claudine,
I wouldn't want to completely rule out a Magnolia. The amount of yellow it seems to have on it's breast seems to lead me in that direction. Both the Yellow Rump and the Magnolia have the yellow coloration on their rump area.
Your right, warblers can be a real challenge to capture on film. They seem to almost never sit still long enough for you to focus in and get a clear shot.
I also had the opportunity to visit a wildlife area in the upper part of Ohio this past spring, and it was literally over run with warblers of all kinds. They were very beautiful and I hope to go back in the future.

Merci Claudine!

Hola Claudine.
Lovely photo. This is probably a Yellow-rumped Warbler male. (Dendroica coronata) By his coloring.
Very sharp and we can see fine details in feathers.
Saludos
Luis52.

Bonjour Claudine,

Hi Claudine
What a dainty little warbler. I love his little round body and the way his head is cocked to one side. A nice portrait for sure, I know how hard it can be to photograph these little guys, especially amongst the leaves.

I saved a little Warbler last week that flew into our window. I thought he wasn't going to make it. I made a little cave in the towel for him to keep warm overnight...the next morning he had flown away....I think it was a Common Yellow-throat Warbler.
TFS Janice

Hello Claudine,
No rain here:-). In mean in your picture. Good lighting.
Really close.

Annick

Hello Claudine,
This is an outstanding image of this pretty little one. The colors and sharpness are superb Claudine. Thirteen days of rain you must be a diehard camper, were you in a tent?
Rick

Hello Claudine

A beautiful close up of this little warbler.
The lighting is wonderful and the colours produced are natural and well saturated.
Excellent POV and DOF.
Do you ever pass through the village known as St.Jovite?
I spent time there as a kid ,it was beautiful.
We stayed at a little lake called Lac Gelinas.
My cousins still live there.
