[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I can't help thinking that the bee in this photo is thinking that it's hit the jackpot when it found the hundreds of huge flowers in this colony of American Lotus, Nelumbo lutea. That should keep it busy for a LONG time.

I used my Sigma 170-500mm APO zoom on a Giotto monopod to take this shot.

Nice shot and great angle for this American Lotus. These flowers produce great masses of great looking seed pods.

Hi John,
A perfectly composed and focused macro capture of an American Lotus and a bee in -flight. TFS and cheers,
Bayram

Hello John,
Nice picture of this lovely flower. Good capture of the texture in white. I have never seen white lotus. Here we seem to have only the pink lotus (N. nucifera). Thanks for sharing.

Hello John. This huge flowers are beautiful with unique looking stamens. The light catching on the petals is making the flower more beautiful. You have framed this beautifully with that Bigma and a monopod. I like the composition and well done. Jusni
