Hello Rick,
What a lovely capture of this beautiful Seal sunning itself on the rock. Beautiful light and colours and fine sharp details. I like your composition and can just see a little Sea Star as well!

Hello Rick,
A great capture of a Harbor Seal taken in a fine sunning-itself pose from a great POV. The composition on the rock against the sea is great and the two arms of the starfish showing above the water line a little bonus.
TFS this beauty,
Ivan

Hi Rick,
I remember seeing a scene just like this in Monterey years ago. Aren't those seals wonderful? You seem to have your way with them - it is looking at you and posing for the camera. I love the position on the rocks. Wonderful colors and details and an awesome setting.

You have a bountiful archive now rick..I feel privileged to have seen some of your shots...and I am gonna have t say that your landscape work when it comes from the air is out of this world...I'll look forward to your amazing surprises...as this one..we have not had a shot from this place since...well a long long time..there was a fella who "hung out" at the aquarium there..and posted shots of it so much I thought perhaps he should get a job there..but the whole area is dramatic...You will not have to worry much about getting images this winter:-)

Hi Rick,
Wonderful shot of this Seal basking in the sun and you caught its attention rightly. I can see a Starfish too, half submerged in water. Very impressive sharpness and details and you have handled the harsh natural lighting perfectly. Excellent DOF, POV and composition. Thanks for sharing this fine image.

Hello my friend Rick, this is so beautiful, I like those animals in the sun, I wish I could bathe, swim and sunbathe with them on the rocks. What a life! This picture is quite interesting as the composition with the rock and the seal go hand in hand. We even see a small sea star at the bottom of the picture. Beautiful colours and magnficent sunshine which I missed so much this summer. Thank you, friend, glad to see your pictures again!

Hi Rick,
superb shot my friend, this fat Harbor Seal looks almost like boulder in his own right! Very nice detail, POV and great eye contact. The little starfish half emerging from the water is the icing on the cake - well done!

I'm glad you had a sunny day at Monterey. That bay with its sugary sands and sculptural rocks is just gorgeous in my opinion, We always walk from Monterey down to Pacific Grove and it never disappoints... except on a weekend maybe when everyone else had the same idea and half of them on fast bicycles!. I like the attention that this fellow gave you. It is a really nice image with good sharpness and natural color.
