hello dear TN friends, this is certainly not a superb
and beautiful White-tailed Deer image, but because
i don't have the chance to often post a deer image,
i decide to post this one and to share it with you,
i couldn't shot in image his escape to the wood

i was on a country road in the Laurentians (Laurentides)
up north of Montréal, when i saw his deer i stopped
the car went out, and shot the image, the deer is much
more farther than this image, i did a very important cropping
of something 75-80% of the image, i was in ISO100

for closer and beautiful shot of a deer i will ask you to go
and encourage this new shot of deers of our friend Jason

http://www.treknature.com/gallery/North_America/Canada/photo184827.htm

from the New Hampshire Public Television website :

i choosed a very small notes of that page

http://www.nhptv.org/NATUREWORKS/whitetaileddeer.htm

« When a white-tailed deer is alarmed, it may stomp its hooves
and snort to warn other deer. It may also "flag" or raise its tail
and show its white underside. When a mother deer is running,
this white underside can help her fawns follow her.

White-tailed deer are very good runners. They can run at speeds
of up to 30 mile an hour. They are also good leapers and swimmers. »

and i decide to include this image to Bob's (eqshannon)
« Where They Really Live » theme, because of the wood
of the background where the deer escaped

merci

Asbed

Composition is excellent Ranger friend... and it is a good image for a rare shot at a deer. Whitetails can be very elusive in the wild particularly if in an area where they don't see many people. And they may be even a bit more skittish this time of year... :) TFS.

Absolutely right in adding it to the theme...I am so happy others kn w about it...it works good here and I know exactly where you were as I have seen many a shot from such a place...I saw qa deer this AM and I think it was a Mule Deer...My Jane pointed it out so I cold slow down as they usually come with another..
Bob

Hi,
The composition was very good. but i feel it would have been very good if you had got a chance to get a bit close and capture ..

Hi Asbed,

Certainly not an perfect picture but nice moment to stand eye on eye with a deer.
Good composition, the deer are nicely placed in the picture.

Salut Asbed,
C'est en effet une belle composition avec un superbe background automnal. Il est toujours tellement plaisant de rencontrer ces bêtes au moment où on ne s'y attend pas. On sent le "crop" sevère mais ça demeure une belle prise avec un beau contact des yeux. Merci!,

Hi Asbed,
great to this white tail in it's environment like this. The Autumnal tree make a lovely backdrop here and the composition is well done too. The overall quality doesn't really bother me that much.

Hi Asbed,
Very good capture of this White-tailed Deer with good pose and composition, natural BG and nice colours. Its a pity that it was not a bit closer as the crop is slighty too radical.

Hello Asbed

A lovely capture of a white tailed deer in a natural setting.
The colours of autumn are beautiful. The white trees are a lovely accent to the forest behind it.
Well composed.

Hi Asbed,
this photo shows well just where the deer lives and I often see them here where I live and rarely are they very far from cover as this photo shows. The photo is a bit on the darkish side but it shows well what you have intended us to see and the woods really give a sense of scale to the animal's size and the time of the season it is.I have done a workshop just for the fun of it for a different take on this doe,I hope you like it.
