[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo of a protea at a place called Fern Grotto, where they bring you by boat on the Hawaian island of Kauai. It is a very busy tourist place with lots of aloha. The grotto is hidden in dense rainforest and was famous for its huge ferns until some of the many hundreds of daily visitors started complaining that the light in front of the grotto was too dim for taking photos. So they started cutting the huge trees in order to get better aloha photos.
The ferns were not amused and disapeared. The protea seems to tolerate it and aloha is stil going on and on and on at the famous 'fern' grotto on Kauai. ALOHA!
