First of a series of a young Great Blue Heron wich just asked to have his picture taken (it is not the best one).
No crop, no reframing, converted from RAW to JPG, min PP + Neat Image
Picture shooted in the wild ( not a park, reserve...)

Hi Marc,
Another pic of a great blue. I keep sending them in myself. Comments: There's a lot of grass here. I have made a personal rule not to photograph birds against grass - it never works. The bird's head is uncomfortably close to the top of the image. Focus could be a tiny bit sharper.
I appreciate your comments about shooting birds in the wild - MUCH more challenging than in a zoo etc. I only do the wild, but I have to confess some of the very best bird pics, as one would expect, are from captive birds.

Marc,

I have a group of these birds at a near by lake. I can never get a decent shot. Well done here. I find them very difficult to photograph. Ahh Welcome to TN.
