Some Random Facts about Tigers:
* A Bengal tiger's roar can be heard up to two miles away.
* A tiger can leap up to 32 feet horizontally.
* The heaviest Siberian on record was 850 pounds.
* A tiger consumes 16 kg (35 lbs) of meat on an average night.
* A tiger makes a successful kill only once in every 10 to 20 hunts.
*Tigers LOVE water.

This beautiful big cat resides at the Denver Zoo. The photo was taken inside and through the glass enclosing him. I shot with a flash, taking care to shoot at an angle that would prevent flash reflections in the photo.

Considering the image was shot through glass, you did well. Relatively good details, good color. Flash is a bit harsh, especially on the white fur around the nose and eye.

Wow, what a stunning POV and close-up.
Great job shooting indoors and through glass.
You did well with avoiding reflections.
The details on the tongue are amazing.
Can't say I have ever seen the bumps on a tiger's tongue!
TFS. : )

Good capture. Nice closeup. A little overexposed at some areas. But good sharpness.
I like it's action.

I agree there are parts of this photo that are stunning and some that miss the mark, but good work.

Fantastic photo Jen.
Tigers are my life's passion and I am in awe of this image of yours.
I just wish that you had not been able to take it, as I hate the fact that any animal has to spend a life in captivity, especially a tiger.
Mankind is wiping out our beautiful tigers to use their body parts for pointless "traditional" Chinese medicines that have absolutely no power to cure or relieve any injury or ilness.
Your photo is awesome though.
Thanks for sharing it.

Regards

Roy
