| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Galahs are a medium sized bird, they have a reputation of being stupid. They are a communal bird that tends to sit on the roads of a night to keep warm. So if you are driving in the outback take care not to hit a whole flock! |

Hello Mark,
Excellent capture of the Galah resting on a branch. Good POV and DOF. Remarkable sharpness and details in the plumage. Lovely colours.I liked the composition with the branch entering the frame from the left corner and the bird placed diagonal.
Thanks for the share,
Smitha.

LOL! Your notes remind me of the film 'Ice Age' and the large birds...DODO birds? I'm probably spelling wrong, but you get the idea. This particular bird almost seems as if it doesn't have a beak. Good coloring and pose.

Mark,
What a bird! Australian birds look so exotic to me - they are just wonderful. You've captured this one very well - great detail, composition and good POV which shows the entire bird. Your comments are interesting as well. Great work. TFS

Hello Mark,
A look at your gallery brings back memories of our trip to NSW and Q'land, having seen most of the birds you portray.
I notice that when you take a portrait of a bird you tend to crop it a bit too close IMHO. As this site is to help us improve our photography, I thought I would mention this.
This one of the Galah is pretty sharp and not too closely cropped and is well composed on the branch against a fine blue sky.
TFS this beauty,
Best wishes, Ivan
