Australian King Parrot
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is an Australian bird called the King Parrot - Alisterus scapularis. I took this shot while on a camping trip in Bonalbo, NSW. These wild birds are so pretty with their lovely colours. This particular one in my photo is a female. Males have a bright red and orange colouration over their head, neck, and undersides, whereas just as you can see here, females have green colouration over their head and neck. |

Hello Claudia,
Wow!!! What a picture :-) The colours are wonderful... Excellent pov, dof, and composition. The sharpness is excellent too. I like the little light in the eye of the parrot!

Michel

Hi Claudia. A very clear capture of this brightly coloured King Parrot, a favourite of mine. The clarity around the eye is superb. Good work. Murray.
