Pacific Black Ducks
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A pair of Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa), perhaps the most common Australian duck. This species is found throughout the continent as well as Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand.
Sexes are similar in plumage and can breed throughout the year depending on rainfall and food availability. 6-12 eggs are usually laid. Found mostly in freshwater wetlands, they also tolerate brackish conditions and occasionally estuaries.
This pair taken at Shortland Wetland Centre near Newcastle. |

Très belle image. La compostion en diagonale me plait bien. La netteté est impécable et l'exposition bien réussie. Bravo.
