Black-winged Stilt Himantopus himantopus

The Black-winged Stilt is a large black and white wader with long orange-red legs and a straight black bill. It has black on the back of the neck, a white collar and a red iris. Both sexes are similar, and the plumage does not change during the year. Black-winged Stilts give a repeated high-pitched barking call. Young Black-winged Stilts lack black on the back of the neck and have grey-brown wings and back, speckled with white. They have a smudged grey crown, which extends down the back of the neck as the birds get older.

This got to be your best image (to my knowledge). What a gem of work, good composition and lighting, perfect synchronization of the birds, good use of focusing point (selective focusing) and ofcourse the colors. Fantastic image. tfs.

Great picture, it's wonderful to have two birds on the same picture, and even more wonderful to have their reflection on the water ! Excellent sharpness and details, nice natural colors, splendid composition and POV, and I also like the fact that both birds have exactly the same pose. Very well done !

At first glance, it looked like the second Stilt was cloned in with PS - of course it is not. You've captured this bird very well - I like the action and reflections in the water. Great work.

This image has a wonderful symmetry to it in the arrangement of these long-legged water birds within your frame, Fatih.
That also includes their reflections on water.

great "mirror" shoot. i never seen a picture with a composition like yours. this is very original

belki sen de görmedin benim gibi:) bu 200. karen olmalı. gönülden tebrikler dostum. daha nice 100lere, 200lere. Harika bir senkronizasyon. arkadaki gölgesi gibi. çok güzel bir komposiyon. Sanırım en geniş dağılımlı kıyı kuşlarından biri. dünyanın değişik yerlerinden postalarda görüyorum.
