You've taken so many pictures at the tip of trees, it's incredible, now you photograph bats with perfection! In bright light and wonderful details. This one has a fantastic pose, it seems like it is holding a cape and saluting the assistance. Let us applaude your return! And take care of your knee,
Francine

Hello Jane,
Welcome back!
Ulla and I were there in Nov. 2005 and saw these Grey-headed Flying foxes in the Sydney Botanical Gdns. but you have managed to take a better shot of one than either of us did! This is technically excellent, in great side ligtingand well composed against a blue sky that must be similar to the Arizona one.
Thanks for sharing this fine reminder!

Hi Jane,
Good to see you back after the trip to Down Under.
I am concerned you had an accident in NZ. Hope your injury is healing fast. Please take care.
So found your blue sky in NSW too :).
Very good capture of the Red Flying Fox against your favorite BG.
Gives a nice impression of how it can rest upside-down.
Looking forward to more from your trip.

Really neat shot Jane!!
You captured some great detail, I like how the wings resemble an unopened umbrella. His colors remind me of a woolly bear caterpillar.

This is why it is so important (note for others...) to keep looking in all directions. Most would run or miss this but you did it well!
