| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a common sight when walking along the Paramatta River, near the Olympic site, in the western part of Sydney.
I just had a note from a treker friend, who suggested this may be a female or juvenile Darter (Anhinga
melanogaster). I need to use my bird book to be more sure of ID in future. |

Hi Murray
Nice capture of this Shag overlooking the water. The post he's standing on and the trees in the background seems to work as a frame. Nice colour, composition and detail.

Hola Murray,
dias ya sin visitarte. Una interesante toma que te pone dentro del paisaje y te dan ganas de volar e ir a ver la costa Este de Australia !!
Un abrazo: Josep Ignasi.
Hello Murray
a fine picture of this Shag, beautiful pose of the bird and great composition
this large river is very impressive and i like the light effect on the water
Have a great WE
Jacqueline
Hi Murray,
The bird leads our eyes toward the trees in the background which is giving depth to the composition. The bird is well placed in the frame. The pioint of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the Darter bird. There is a good contrast between the green color of the forest and the colors of the bird. Have a nice day.
Pierre
