I captured this photo accidentally, but grew to like it. I know the gull is in the wrong position etc - but it has something. So i thought I'd share it.!

Let me tackle this shot as part of my 'critiques'. I know exactly where your coming from saying that 'you grew to like this shot'. Happens to all of us! However, I think the main portion of the shot is lacking something that would bring more attention to the center of the shot. I think if you captured this same bird with a setting sun in the background (as an example), the whole picture would have a different meaning and a more pronounced message. In my opinion, that 'point of interests' is now lacking. That's what I'd change here and in future shots with a similar crop - hope it helps.
