Hi friends. I haven’t posted a flower for a while, so here is one of my favourites, the Pink Spider Flower (Grevillea sericea). This species is a member of the Proteaceae family and is an upright shrub that reaches a height of 1.5 metres. The leaves are elliptic to linear in shape and from two to six centimetres long. The flowers are borne in erect, terminal clusters and carried for most of the year with a dense flowering occurring in spring (August to December). The flowers are usually pink but some plants have white blooms. The species is restricted to an area of around 250 km north and west of southern Sydney.

Hello Chris,
it's just the achieved great depth of field which makes the picture particularly attractive.
Besides that, the excellent sharpness and the balanced light are clearly obligatory for this fine result.
Best wishes, Peter
