This is my first photo on TN although i've posted some on TE. I thought this fit in more with the TN ethos. Anyway, I know this photo is far from technically brilliant and was shot with a point and shoot camera but I do enjoy looking at it (at least in full screen).
The Mangrove roots look like crabs scurrying over the bank and the branches look like reflections of the roots if it wasn't for the leaves.
The Mangroves are on the shore of Lamb Island which is only a few kilometres offshore from Brisbane. The many islands in Moreton bay are generally only accessible by boat which makes them a little backward which I find appealing.
I took my small boat out for the day to look around the islands but didn't take my SLR through fear of getting it wet.

Hi Stephan,

Welcome to TN.
An interesting shot showing something that a lot of us will not see. Dont sell that point and shoot camera, they can be usefull too. I like the low horizon line which is level and shows the trees well.

Robin

very nice mangrove, TFS Ori
