[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The summit of Mount Wellington (1,271 m or 4,000 ft)is capped with these distinctive dolerite columns which I mistakenly called granite in my last post. They are very spectacular and a wlaking trail leads from the car park to these other geological points of interest around the mountain. Unfortunately a storm was approaching and the temperature was already near freezing. So this was taken at around 3/4 zoom which is why its not pin sharp. I thought it was worth posting anyway.
Thanks for looking

Hello Chris!
What an amazing place! Really unusual rocky formation. For me it looks like a field of "collums" :)
TFS and best greetings,
Radomir

Hello Chris,
This mount made up of stone columns looks really inteesting. You've captured this really well showing the texture and colours beautifully. Even though you were freezing it looks very warm in the sunlight! Excellent composition!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hello Chris,
These are such unusual rock formations, very interesting. The small vegetation in the foreground also looks intriguing. Lovely image.
Cheers,
Debbie
