[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Horseshoe Falls Mt Field National Park Tasmania.
Mt Field National Park is about an hours drive out of Hobart.
The park offers a diversity in vegetation with rainforest, alpine vegetation and giant
ferns.
Russell Falls is the main attraction and the larger of the waterfalls as
Tasmanias first nature reserve was created around Russell Falls in 1885.
This reserve was greatly extended to what is Mt Field National Park today. I was unable
to get a good view of Russell Falls with overgrowth though it was impressive
the amount of water coming down. Horseshoe had a nice clearing. I initially
went to the falls when the sun was out and it seemed to have too much contrast.
I came back to it a couple hours later in heavier overcast and that seemed to work better.
Along with the beauty of these falls, my Christmas present was to see a wild platypus in a creek on the way to the falls.

Cracking shot,fabulous comp and detail.The water at the left of the falls is perfect,but its a little burnt out on the Rh side.

Lovely slow shutter speed photo of moving water. The POV really draws one into the photo. I'm glad you left the colors muted and natural. It helps make one feel a part of the scene. TFS
