Nice shot, but some of the detail is gone due to being slightly overexposed. This is not a problem though, because I just increased the highlights by 100% and so much more feather detail came back in. Nice solid shot though, good work.

Hi Lindsay,
I really like this picture and the pose that have the heron. Nice contrast of the heron with the blue water + nice reflexion. Would have been nice to see more of the reflexion but maybe that's why we don't see much of the picture on the bottom because I'm sure you would let us see the whole reflexion.

I really like the geometric design created by the legs and their reflections. Good pose and POV of the egret. Excellent light on the whites. Well done and TFS. : )

Beautiful capture Lindsay!

Exposure and focus are perfect! Artistically, less DOF would have been better, however, the contrast give an excellent seperation of the subject with the background. I can't score tonight since I'm out of points, but I'll do it tomorw. TFS

I don`t like the DOF...but the bird is very nice. It`s bad that you cat the 'bird mirror' in water :(

this is an excellent shot.
almost perfect:
1. great dof
2. well exposed
3. nice colors
4. great bird model in action
but,
in my opinion if you have included full reflection of bird on the water, it have more visual impact.
