[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last light at Bendigos Lake Weerona, Rufus Night Heron. I am concerned that a lot of our waterways and swamps are drying up. What will become of our water birds?

I've never seen one of these herons before but it's beautiful (like many of the other herons). It's a fantastic close up and the lighting is especially good. Quite sharp too. You can see so much detail in the features.

As for what will become of our water birds? They will find water. But either way, the drought will break soon enough. It's just a matter of time. Birds like this are sure to be adapted from past droughts anyway and know how to survive. :)

Once again, beautiful.

Nyssa.

Hello Linsay,
This is an excellent capture of the Rufous Night Heron, with fine lighting and comp.
Let's hope that the effects of global warming allow some rainfall as well!
At present we are having too much precipiation here in Sweden.
TFS and regards, Ivan

Nice shot. First night heron I've seen. Glad it was your picture. The front is very sharp and detailed.

Hi Lindsay

Lovely shot. Gooid eye contact. Tack sharp where it counts. TFS.

Hi Lindsay,
Good photo with good tools; camera and lens...
If you compare this camera with 350D or 30D and so on, in what respect is it better...
Reviews are mentioning it is much more a performer??
Good detail and nice compo.

Hi Lindsay
Very nice!!!
Shap, great drama from the amount of light used.
without the branch in the foreground and background it would of been superb. As for our water, dont worry to much, the whole world revolves around cycles, unfortunately its our turn to feel the pinch. The rains will come soon!

Lindsay - your photographs are AWESOME! you should have 1000s of critiques - clearly an injustice!!!
I like the composition of your photos - I tend to bring them in too close and wreck the photos, but i am learning.
This is a wonderful photo - clear - well composed - wonderful congrats. mark
