[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Bunurong marine and coastal reserve is located 140 km southeast of Melbourne. The reserve stretches 17 km’s along the coastal road and 1 km out to sea. This section of the Victorian coastline is not as well known as sections of the Great Ocean road which is located on the opposite side Melbourne. There is certainly some spectacular ocean scenery with magnificent sandstone cliffs.
This structure called the Eagles Nest, it towers out of the ocean, at low tide the base is exposed and I am told people fossick in the rock pools. When I was there the base was completely submerged. The seagull perched up high sat there for hours just surveying the ocean, must be a good view from up there.

Using PS I have selected the rock structure by using the magic wand and doing an inverse select on the ocean. It was easier to select the ocean as the colour was more consistent. After selecting the rock I decreased its brightness and increased contrast. I hope this improves the detail of the structure. Any comments appreciated.

I like the patterns in the rock against the patterns in the water. Very interesting and pleasing to the eye. :)
