| Sand dunes on Discovery Bay. Discovery Bay is a stretch of 55km of open beach in Western Victoria, Australia. The bay forms part of the "Great West Walk" a 250km walking track forming a giant loop. This section near Swan Lake (at the moment dry)is accessible. There are limited other access points. You really need to walk it so see its full glory. An early mornng walk to the beach from a camp spot passes across dunes some of which are tens of metres high. A wonderous spot. |

Hello Barry,
We seem to share a passion for the desert. I like the plants extending diagonally on the sand. Very nice composition. I'll drop by to enjoy more of your photos.
Best wishes,
Hakan
YOU'RE BACK. I've been waiting for you! I do like your simple compositions and especially your eye for very interesting skyline shapes. I like the sharpness and the lines leading into the scene. I know it was early morning but the image feels just a tad too yellow..but maybe that is a monitor issue.

Hello Barry
This is a wonderful photo!
I really like the colors and tones here, probably enhanced by the warm but cloudy atmosphere.
The patches of grass are great and they definately enhance the overall composition, while the exposure on the sky is very well managed.
I also like the surface pattern on the sand, probably left by the wind, but it's quite a nice touch and it brings attention to the FG as well.
Very well composed, too.
Bravo and TFS
