Richard, this is the most natural image I have seen on TN after a long gap. We usually tend to wait for the bird to stand still, preferably with no ostructions in the viewpoint.
You have taken it just as you saw it -- the bird having a go at those berries or fruits on the branch. I love the way it is perched delicately on the branch itself and showing lovely colours on its body in the process.
The busy BG makes the shot much more authentic and natural.
Hope you are keeping well.

Hi Rick
Excellent shot - the pose is wonderful and reflected in the downward 'movement' of the eucalyptus leaves and seeds. Great detail too.

Hello Richard,
What an acrobat, posing for a shot whilst hanging upside down!
Excellent details all round and I think your composition is very good.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Rick,
What a poser, just typical for this clown! I understand this Parrot is not very common but we were lucky to see it in Queensland. Great capture with good focus on the cheeky eye and fine sharp details. A nice tree too!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla
Interesting hanging pose and POV of the parrot Richard, I like it.
Great detail/DOF, color, and you managed the difficult exposure scenario well.
So how do like the MIII/400mm F/2.8 combo?
