Hello John

Welcome to TN.

This first post is quite good although busy with all the dead leaves around. The focus is soft and the image could use a bit of saturation. Please also note the 'Guidelines' of Treknature

Descriptive Notes

* Members are strongly encouraged to post descriptive notes with their photos. Notes help provide other members with information about your shot and help them to tailor their critiques to your specific needs. Shots without notes tend to receive less feedback than shots with descriptive notes.

If at all possible it would be nice to know what sort of bird it is.

It is a lot to take 'on board' when you are new. Good luck and keep the posts coming. Look forward to more.

The parent bird looks really angry at you - obviously concerned that you are going to bother the family...wonderful job on focusing, and I disagree about the "busy-ness" of the photo due to the leaves and twigs...that's just part of the natural habitat of those birds. Good job!
