Truly colourful and fantastic, this is a great capture Jon. I love the open tail to show off all the superb feathers, it is a great composition and you clicked right at the good moment, needless to say! I am amazed, beautiful!

Very beautiful rich colors and the way the bird does show the feathers of the left wing and tail is most wonderful.
Also love the pose and the open bill, like he was sreaming to you, very much.

Hello Jon,
This capture really shows why the Rainbow Bee-eater is so called. The colours are amazing and the timing to catch him spreading out his tail is spot on in an ideal POV.
The sharpness helps to show him up well against the colourful BG.

The colors are almost too much to believe!!! It is absolutely gorgeous. I would love to see something like that in the wild. The background greens feel a bit intense. What was back there? It is a fabulous pose and an amazing bird. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Jon, I like the colour in this shot of course, and you have great sharp detail on the bird, with a very subdued background. What I really like though is the pose you have on this guy, very good timing on your part to catch the bird, both singing, and stretching to show off that great plumage on his wings and tail. The composition is excellent with the bird very nicely positioned with his back to you, but "showing all". The branch plays an interesting shot in this composition as well. The angle works well, but the small piece that sticks up on the right really helps fill the gap that would have been there otherwise. Very nicely done.

Really like the pose with the tail & wing fanned out so..
Very good detail and you've got the whole bird in your DOF @ F/5.6, not easy..I might've cloned the top branch out if it was me.

This is really amazingly beautiful. Looking at photos like this one of yours, fills me with excitement, hoping and dreaming that maybe one day I’ll also be able to take a shot of a bird with details as clear as this one. The details of this Bee-Eater is stunning and very clear. I especially like the different colours and patterns on the wings and this bird surely have an impressive wingspan. I am sure this feathers the Red Indians will envy to use when making their spectacular and striking headgear. Remarkable photo with lots of character.Thanks for sharing this splendid "Rainbow of colours."
