Photo prise au bord de la rivière Yellow Waters, un spectacle sans pareil, et non seulement pour ce merveilleux coucher de soleil, mais pendant la demi heure que j’étais là, avec mon boîtier sur trépied et mon déclencheur souple, une ligne presque continu d’oiseaux en V défilé à l’horizon, une vrai merveille. C’est là que l’on regrette un deuxième boîtier avec le super tele pour capturer ces belles silhouettes au milieu du soleil, mais…
Plus de 2 millions d’oiseaux transitent par ce parc au cours de l’année

Yellow Waters is famous for it’s magnificent sunset. Not only was it as spectacular as it’s
reputation but during the ½ hour I was there, a flock of birds in a perfect V flew past. It was splendid but too far away to take with this lens. I would have wished for a second camera with
the tele on it.

Yellow Water Billabong is located at the end of Jim Jim Creek, a tributary of the South Alligator River. The South Alligator river system, which is the largest in Kakadu National Park, contains extensive wetlands that include river channels, floodplains and backwater swamps.

About one third of Australia's bird species are represented in Kakadu National Park, with at least 60 species found in the wetlands. Whistling ducks and Magpie Geese are the most abundant.

there are so many sunrises to see here, but yours is so special, wonderful colours with a great reflection in the water, the yellow hole in the clowds and this wonderful trees.

What a stunning sunset Toni. I wish I would master the French language a bit better as I'm sure it would be a better way to descibe this great image! In English I'm just speechless ;-) Definately one for you to put on the wall somewhere!

Hi Toni,
I love the colors and the mood of this picture except for the blur foreground, which doesn't seem to add any impact. After REFLEXION, I found out it is wave REFLEXION ;o)
I don't know about you, but many photographer have a tendency to see picture in a rectangle. I often like to frame almost square. It would remove the blur reflexion and the cool color that differ from the rest of the picture. Have a try and make decision on it. TFS
