| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This photo was first posted to TrekEarth (by mistake) but it is obviously more at home here on TrekNature.
Here is the note:
Didn't get long to catch this spikey fella as there were a few other people around - and he soon darted off. In the end I was unhappy not to have got his whole body in the composition. But quite like the depth of field. Anyway, I'm a true amateur and it was taken with a little Ixus - nothing more. But up for feedback that might help when I finally get my hands on the EOS 350d I have got my eye on. |

great creature, great shot!!!!
good work!!
Nice shot! You've captured this Thorny Devil well, I particularly like the warm tones of this shot. Focus is good, and the image is nice and sharp - about the only thing I think I'd change is a bit more Depth Of Field (DOF) wouldn't go amiss, but I don't think you can adjust the aperture on the Ixus 400, so there wasn't much you could do. Well captured, particularly considering the camera! Welcome to TrekNature :-D

Wow ! This reptile is incredible ! I have never see a such animal, I like shape with pines and the colors. With a tiny Ixus 400 we could do many things, I have one ;-) Welcome to TN and thanks for sharing.

Wow, I have never seen such a reptile, you captered it well for such a fast shot. The image is clear and sharp, I like the slight red and warm tone of the picture... Try to take a higher aperture, when you take close-up shots for more depth of field...
Anyway, well done!
Very nice specimen, you've captured him well despite the other people. Not an easy reptile to find, never mind catch a decent shot.
Th ecolours are well reproduced and the pose is quite acceptable. You should be quite happy with this one.
