Hi Jon.
Beautiful lighting used to bring out the irridesence colour of the blue feathers and catch-light in the eye. Lovely and sharp with great detail and colour.
Wonderful,
Kathleen

Hello Jon,

You have chosen a really good pov to capture the detail of the under-feathers as well as those of the wings! Beautiful irridescent colours (possibly the bird was still wet), great pose, a real sparkle in the eye and very nicely composed!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jon,
Superb capture of the Forest Kingfisher.
I couldn't get close enough to one in Queensland to get a decent shot.
This is great in every way, with excellent sharpness lighting, Bg composition and colours.
Well done and TFS!
Ivan

Hallo Jon
Being a new member to Trek Nature I am still browsing if time permits. I think at this stage my eyes are working overtime to search for anything that will grab my attention, and it is becoming a real difficult task. There are just so many talented photographers on the site and they all have such spectacular portfolios. I came across this lovely “Forest Kingfisher” in your gallery, and although it is not one of your most recent postings decided to give my smiley to this photo, since my first posting is also of a kingfisher. This is such an elegant, vivid and dignified looking bird Like a soldier standing guard. You have some wonderful and colourful photos in your portfolio.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Splendid photo.
