Hi Jon,
your introduction of Poms and other Europeans to the Australian fauna is breathtaking. The stork is a complete surprise to me, again. Beautiful, how you caught it with the handfeathers spread widely to increase lift. You shot at the right split-second, Jon.Well done!

He does look good flying like this with the blurred BG

Hi Jon, this is a bird we don't see a lot of on TN. I saw one of these guys up in Cairns, but he was too far away for a decent shot. This is a great shot, and in-flight no less. The detail seen on the bird is awesome with very good colour. Tough shot, managed very well.
